I knew Misser only from irc but I spoke with him many times through pm about general life things and also a lot about Commodore and demo coding. He was a lovely friendly guy and helped me out several times and sent me some of his own coding stuff to look over and play with. A great guy I will miss very much. RIP my friend.

I knew Mark from SlayRadio. First I chatted with him on the IRC chat, then I met him in person during the Gothenburg SlayRadio Gatherings. Didn't get to know him very well, but I did speak to him every so often.

Last time I met him I was doing some travelling. I had just come from Valencia and was staying in Tilburg 2 nights. After that I had to check out of the hotel at 10am, and had nothing to do until my night train at 7pm, so I decided to check out Rotterdam. I had walked quite a bit before I decided to call Mark and ask if we could maybe have lunch together. He decided to actually drive me during his lunch break to the harbour and suggested I take the boat tour around the harbour. He didn't join me because he had to get back to work, but he also offered that I could stay at his place if I should miss my night train.

He was a good person, and a good friend to many. He will be missed.

Mark was one of those rare, straight to the core Nice Guys. He was enthusiastic, energetic, helpful, considerate, and equipped with the most abominable sense of humour. He was always good company.

We spoke often via chat, and met in person once or twice per year. Even though we haven't seen each other in a while, his passing has left me with an acute sense of loss.

Mark. You sweet, crazy, wonderful man. The world is a sadder and less weird place without you. I don't think either of ever had much faith in a heavenly afterlife. But somehow, somewhere, we will meet again. Even if only in my dreams.

I didn't know him too well but I met him a couple of times - on Bitlive London 2007 for the first time. He was a most funny guy, it got never boring having him around.
He was the one who ordered 64 Bacardis on the rocks at some scene meeting in honour of my Bionic Commando remix. I need to thank him for doing such hilarious stuff and he won't be forgotten.

I’ve known Mark personally since 2006 when Doris and me visited the Stockholm gathering. He was one you quickly felt like knowing for a long time, instantly open and friendly and such a nice guy. He was a big part in making us feel at home in the scene, and even consider to visit X-Party 2006, sure the craziest party I could imagine at that time. Over the years we might have met about a good dozen times around Europe, in the Netherlands, Sweden and Germany. It is because of connecting people like Mark, that scene works, at least for me. He sure will be missed!

Thanks Mark, for all the great talks, the cuddles and for always giving us the feeling of being best friends, even if we couldn’t see as often as we wanted. Thanks for the most impressive, improvised, „I have only one resistor instead of the needed five, and no diode, but it will work anyway“ soldering involved un-bricking of a device bricked during a softmod at 4 in the morning. You where special, and I’m so thankful that we met.

Sjit Misser, Dit kwam heel onverwacht en had je zeker niet verdiend.

Vele IRC en Game en Film avonden hebben we (vaak bij jou in Hoogvliet) doorgebracht, je bracht mij in contact met TAS, waar je met zoveel plezier werkte. Het begin van mijn IT carriere was geboren.
Mark, Cynisch, ad-rem, intelligent, een vriend wanneer mensen een arm of schouder nodig hebben, Liefde voor Honda Preludes (dat waren echt jouw wagens), Commodore 64's, SCSI controllers en 10000 toeren schijven.

Een ander ander iets wat me bijgebleven is, is dat je op de een of andere manier een shoarmaboer zo gek had gekregen om om half 2 's nachts altijd weer x (aantal aanwezigen) bakkies fijn met 2 extra broodjes, bij jou of als we bij anderen in Rotterdam waren, te bezorgen.

Helaas hebben we elkaar nadat de groep langzaamaan uit de regio rotterdam wegging en Mark ook bij PinkRoccade ("Dat was toch maar niks vergeleken met TAS") wegging, een beetje uit het oog verloren.

Misser, ik hoop dat waar je nu ook bent, men klaar is voor jou.... waar je nu weg bent zullen we je in ieder geval nooit vergeten.
